Costas Baslis

Costas Baslis is currently the Energy Management Director at Heron Energy S.A., a role they have held since 2012, specializing in power and gas portfolio management, energy trading, and market analysis. They also serve as the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Optimus Energy from 2017 onwards. Prior to these positions, they worked in energy portfolio management at Heron Thermoelectric S.A. from 2010 to 2011. Costas earned a PhD in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, completing their thesis on hydroplant operation scheduling in competitive electricity markets.
