Markus Schranner

Markus Schranner has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Markus is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of heronOS GmbH, a position they have held since January 2020. Prior to this, Markus was an Organizer and Facilitator at Startup Weekend from December 2009 to December 2021.

In 2013, Markus founded and served as the Chairman of the Board at Startup Germany e.V. until December 2020. Markus also founded their own company, s2m - Innovationsmanagement & IT GmbH, where they were the Owner and Managing Director from February 2017 to December 2019. In this role, Markus focused on developing IT solutions and providing agile prototyping services to meet customers' needs.

Markus has also worked as a Freelancer in Consultancy and Training from March 2010 to February 2017. Markus co-founded and managed Rally, serving as the Managing Director for Europe from June 2009 to April 2013. Additionally, Markus was a Managing Partner at Schranner, Dresen & Partner, a consulting business that was acquired by Piryx, Inc. / Rally.org, from April 2010 to March 2011.

Earlier in their career, Markus held roles at Carrier Corporation as a Manager of Standardization from August 2007 to August 2010, and at United Technologies as an ACE Manager for the EMEA region from August 2007 to July 2010. Prior to that, Markus had their own computer trading business from 1995 to 2004.

Markus Schranner pursued their education at the Hochschule für Technik Stuttgart from 2004 to 2007. During this period, they successfully completed their Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
