Chris Ansell

Chris Ansell has a comprehensive work history in the fields of finance and academia. Chris is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at HEROTECH8 since April 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Cavaja Consulting since October 2008 and as a Visiting Lecturer in Finance at Cranfield University School of Management since April 2011. From November 2020 to September 2022, they held the position of Head of Finance and Strategic Research at Black Alpha Capital LLP. Chris also has experience in the academic sector, serving as a Senior Lecturer and Course Director at Coventry University London Campus from September 2016 to December 2020. Additionally, they worked as a Lecturer at BPP University from September 2014 to July 2017. Chris also served as a Visiting Lecturer in Finance at the University of Hertfordshire from September 2013 to January 2016. Chris has held leadership positions in several organizations, including being a Founding Partner and Head of Research at Arcta Value Partners, a long-only equity asset management firm specializing in European and US equities and US financials. From 1979 to 1982, they attended the University of Cambridge and earned an MA degree in Electrical Sciences and Natural Sciences.

In 1995 to 1996, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting and Finance at Cranfield School of Management.

In 1996, they also obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Cranfield University.

From 2000 to 2002, Chris Ansell studied at the CFA Institute and acquired the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) degree with a focus on Equities.
