Cath Smith

Cath Smith serves as the Independent Chair of the End Users Consultative Group at The Energy Charter and holds positions as Trustee Director for both the Utilities Trust of Australia and HESTA. With extensive experience in governance and community engagement, Cath founded Changesmith Consulting, which specializes in strategic planning and policy advocacy. Previous roles include Trustee Director at the Australian Communities Foundation and CEO of the Victorian Council of Social Service, as well as advisory positions at The University of Melbourne and RMIT University. Cath holds a Master’s in Strategic Foresight from Swinburne University of Technology and a Bachelor’s in Environmental Science from The University of Sheffield, complemented by governance qualifications from the Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees.
