David Young

David Young is an experienced Information Security and Cybersecurity professional with a robust background in risk management and governance. Currently serving as an Information Security Risk and Assurance Specialist at HESTA since December 2022, David previously held the position of Cybersecurity Governance Specialist at the University of Melbourne from February 2021 to December 2022. Prior roles include IT Security and Risk Consultant and Analyst at Monash University, as well as various positions at Telstra, where responsibilities encompassed security incident handling and technical support. David's career began at Woolworths Limited, and educationally, David holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Computer and Network Engineering from RMIT University, earned between 2011 and 2015.
