Peter Loukas

Peter Loukas is an experienced professional in tax management, currently serving as an Investment Tax Manager at HESTA since August 2021. Previously, Peter held the position of Senior Tax Manager in Corporate Tax at KPMG and was a Practice Fellow (on secondment) at the Australian Accounting Standards Board. With a robust background at the Australian Taxation Office, Peter advanced through various roles, including Director of Public Groups & International and Director of Law and Practice. Prior experience includes working as a Senior Taxation Lawyer at Clayton Utz and a Senior Tax Consultant at Pitcher Partners. Peter began his career with an internship in the Legal Department at The World Bank. Academically, Peter possesses multiple degrees, including a Master of Laws and a Master of Commercial Law from the University of Melbourne, a Graduate Diploma of Chartered Accounting from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Leo Cussen Institute, and a combined Commerce (Hons) and Law (Hons) degree from Monash University.
