Izzy Miller

Izzy Miller has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. They started their career as a Habitat Restoration Intern at the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy in 2011, where they created an identification key for native ferns and led plant restoration projects. In 2012, they worked as a Biotech Intern for the National Park Service Invasive Plant Monitoring Program, surveying and mapping invasive plants using GIS systems.

In 2014, Izzy joined the UC Davis Rizzo Plant Pathology Lab as a Vegetation Field Technician, contributing to research on the spread and impacts of Sudden Oak Death in Big Sur. They also conducted data entry and sample management tasks.

In 2015, Izzy worked as a Natural Resources Technician at Blue Valley Ranch, where they resurveyed vegetation monitoring plots and conducted surveys to quantify the impacts of forestry treatments on Aspen regeneration and growth. They also developed GIS analysis and presentation skills.

Next, Izzy joined the Minnesota Environmental Partnership in 2015 as a Clean Water Research Intern, where they researched and analyzed strategies for improving water quality and participated in Water Cluster meetings.

In 2017, Izzy served as a Market Evaluation Intern at CD3 Station, contributing to market evaluation projects. Later that year, they took on the role of Strategy and Business Development Analyst at CD3 Stations, General Benefit Corporation, where they focused on strategy and business development.

From 2018 to 2020, Izzy worked at Looker in various roles. As a Data Analyst, they contributed to data analysis projects. They then transitioned to a Community role, where they were involved in community management and engagement.

In 2020, Izzy joined Google as a Community Manager for Looker, responsible for managing the Looker community. They then moved into a Developer Relations role within Looker, focusing on building relationships with developers.

Most recently, Izzy joined Hex in 2021 as a Developer Relations and Technical Marketing professional. The duration and specific responsibilities of this role are not provided.

Izzy Miller attended Macalester College from 2013 to 2017, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Biology and Environmental Studies. In addition, Izzy obtained a certification in Wilderness First Aid from the NOLS Wilderness Medicine Institute (WMI) in March 2015.
