Claudio Simao

Claudio Simao is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in leadership roles at Hexagon AB since 2002, serving as CEO & President for both Hexagon Asia Pacific and Hexagon South America, as well as Group CTO and CEO Advisor, contributing to the company's growth into a $4.6 billion market leader. As CEO of Hexagon Ventures, Claudio led revenue growth from incubation to approximately $200 million from 2014 to 2019, overseeing global teams, partnerships, and strategic acquisitions. Prior to Hexagon, Claudio founded and successfully grew five start-ups across various sectors, achieving a consolidated revenue of $460 million with a notable average EBIT of 26%. Claudio holds a Master's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from Escola Politécnica da USP, completed an Open Thesis at Instituto de Fisica da USP in coordination with European universities, and participated as a guest in Solutions Architecture at the University of Oxford.
