Emanuele Aucone

Robotics Engineer at Hexagon

Emanuele Aucone is a Doctoral Researcher at ETH Zürich, focusing on aerial physical interaction with tree branches for biodiversity monitoring, involving mechanical design and control strategies for drones. Emanuele has experience as a tutor in Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) at the Robotics Summer School and leads the team "SeReRo: Search & Rescue Robot." Emanuele has held guest researcher positions at Eidg. Forschungsanstalt WSL, as well as a Visiting Student Researcher role at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where projects included enhancing mobility of the Duaxel rover system. Previous experience includes a Control Systems Engineer role at Fermilab and participation in the Neapolis Innovation Summer Campus at STMicroelectronics.
