Nora Hollenstein

Nora Hollenstein currently serves as the AI Governance & Culture Lead at Hexagon AB since September 2024. Prior to this role, Hollenstein was a Senior Researcher at the University of Zurich from March 2023 to August 2024, where they chaired the MultiplEYE COST Action, an EU-funded research network with over 200 members from more than 30 countries. From April 2021 to March 2023, Hollenstein held the position of Assistant Professor in Natural Language Processing & Cognitive Science at Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen. Hollenstein completed a PhD at ETH Zurich from September 2017 to February 2021, with a thesis focused on cognitive processing signals for natural language understanding. Previous experience includes a position as an NLP Researcher at IBM Research from July 2017 to May 2018, specializing in machine learning models for medical text analysis and dialogue systems. Hollenstein also participated in a PhD research visit at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in July 2019.
