Raphael Zürcher

Raphael Zürcher is an Application Engineer at Hexagon AB and Leica Geosystems since September 2022. Prior experience includes a research internship at Eidg. Forschungsanstalt WSL, where Raphael analyzed the National Forest Inventory 360-degree images and trained an object detection model using Python. Raphael also served as Project Manager at VanBoven, focusing on ground truth validation of deep learning models. Previous roles include positions at Greenpeace, Smiling Gecko, Erasmus Student Network, Rathgeb Bio, Ensectable AG, and MAEDA Farm Ichikawa. Education includes a Master of Science in Geographic Information Science and Cartography from Wageningen University & Research and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences. An exchange program was completed at the American University of Beirut in Agribusiness.
