Leela Sequeira has extensive experience in the field of materials science, particularly in aerospace prepreg product development. Currently serving as Section Leader at Hexcel Corporation since May 2006, Leela has excelled in customer liaison for product requirements and driving innovative solutions for aircraft and helicopter structural materials. Prior to this, Leela held positions at Huntsman Advanced Materials and Cookson Electronics, contributing as a Senior Scientist and Senior Chemist, respectively. Early in the career, Leela gained valuable experience as a Research Chemist at VSO and served as a voluntary secondary school teacher in Ghana. Leela holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Co-ordination Chemistry of Transition Metals and a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, both from Durham University.
