Michael Yurchenko

Michael Yurchenko is a seasoned professional in the field of chemistry, currently serving as a Senior Scientist and Advanced Sizing Group Leader at Hexcel Corporation since July 2007, focusing on carbon fiber and composite technology development. Prior to this role, Michael held a position as a Research and Development Scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from October 2005 to May 2007, specializing in polymers for oil-field applications. Michael also has post-doctoral experience from the University of Pennsylvania (2003 - 2005), working on self-assembling dendrimers and thixotropic organogelators, as well as studying Living Radical Polymerization mechanisms. Michael earned a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from New York University (1997 - 2003) and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Long Island University (1992 - 1997).
