David Johnson

David Johnson has extensive experience in public health and operations, currently serving as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Health in the Office of Regional Health Operations at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services since July 2003. David has held various leadership roles within HHS, including Acting Deputy Director and Operations and Management Officer of the Office of Population Affairs. Prior to this, David worked as an EMS at the Charlottesville Albemarle Rescue Squad, Inc., and as a Marketing Analyst and Paper Buyer at Capital One. David holds a Master’s degree in Public Health with a focus on International Health and Health Promotion from the George Washington University School of Public Health and Health Services, and a degree from the University of Virginia.
