John Rigg

John Rigg has extensive experience in health policy and management, currently serving as the Director of Management Operations and Senior Advisor for the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services since February 2018. Rigg also holds the position of Director for Accelerate Clinical Innovation in College Park, MD, and has been a City Council Member since December 2017. Rigg's previous roles include Senior Advisor at the Health Resources and Services Administration, Fellow in the White House Leadership Development Program, and Director of the Office of Policy Analysis, among others. Rigg began a career in public service as a Paramedic and held various leadership positions, including Vice President of Federal Affairs at the California Hospital Association. Rigg earned an MPA and MHA from the University of Washington and a BA from Emory University.
