Kate Keisel is a seasoned consultant with extensive experience in trauma and human trafficking, currently serving at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the U.S. Department of Justice since 2016 and 2017, respectively. In these roles, Kate provides expertise in Lived Experience Leadership, trauma, and support for victims of human trafficking. Previously, Kate held significant positions, including Director of Polaris New Jersey and New Jersey Program Coordinator at the Polaris Project, as well as Chief Executive Officer at the Sanar Wellness Institute, leading services until December 2023 and continuing as Co-Chief Executive Officer at Sanar Institute. Kate's educational background includes a Master of Social Work from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Arts in International/Global Studies from Portland State University, complemented by studies in Spanish Language and Human Rights in Latin America at Academia Latino Americano.
