Michael Weaver

Michael Weaver has extensive experience in public health, particularly in addressing health disparities and enhancing health equity among minority populations, including Native American and Alaska Native communities. Weaver has held various roles at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, including Public Health Analyst for the Health Resources and Services Administration, where responsibilities included overseeing quality improvement initiatives and managing technical assistance programs. Weaver's background also includes serving as a Public Health Advisor at the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, where the focus was on enhancing capacity for substance abuse prevention and intervention policies across states and tribal organizations. Additional experience encompasses positions at consulting firms and technical assistance roles aimed at facilitating effective substance abuse treatment programs. Weaver holds a Master of Public Administration in Policy and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from North Carolina Central University.
