CARL is an AI-assisted lesson-planning platform where the AI assists and you decide. It helps with structure, curriculum connections, and differentiation while you review, edit, and make the call. A collaborative library lets teachers find, adapt, and share lessons and resources, so you're never starting from a blank page. Its companion, Compass, makes curriculum coverage visible: what's taught, planned, and still to cover, all in one place.

We started from a simple belief: technology should help more students get reached without making the human work of teaching harder. Equity, inclusion, and accessibility are a cornerstone of how CARL is designed, not an afterthought.

A growing K-12 library of complete lesson sets and printables is free at hicarl.ai, no signup needed. Compass is live and free to start. Created in BC, Canada.
