Leon Wu has extensive experience in strategic sourcing and procurement, with a focus on supplier management and cost reduction. Leon has held positions at Hiab, Philips Healthcare, and Bobcat Company. At Hiab, they have served as a Sourcing Director for North America since November 2021, after previously working as a Category Manager and Sr. Sourcing Manager. In these roles, they successfully managed the sourcing department, developed strategies, and implemented supplier development programs. At Philips Healthcare, they were a Strategic Sourcing/Procurement Manager and Program Manager, where they led productivity projects and achieved significant cost savings. Additionally, at Bobcat Company, they worked as an Engineering Project Manager, Program Manager, and Sr. Sourcing Specialist, overseeing supplier management for hydraulic commodity and implementing cost-saving measures. Leon Wu has a strong educational background in Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration. Leon obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration from Tsinghua University. In addition to their degrees, Leon Wu has also obtained several certifications throughout their career. Leon is a Certified Advanced Procurement Professional (CAPP) accredited by the Procurement Academy, which is recognized by the International Federation of Purchasing & Supply Management (IFPSM).
