Michael Danielson

Senior Director Process Development at HiberCell

Michael Danielson has worked in the biopharmaceutical industry since 2003. Michael began their career at 3M Medical Division as a Senior Scientist, where they developed technology to stabilize sensitive enzymes and reagents in carbohydrate based polymer films. Michael later moved to 3M Pharmaceuticals as a Senior Scientist, where they identified novel small molecules that would act on the Toll Like Receptor Pathway. In 2007, Danielson joined Biothera as a Senior Scientist/Study Director, where they contributed to the development and manufacture of Imprime PGG and Wellmune. Michael also qualified several chemistry characterization assays for Biothera's carbohydrate based polymers. Michael then moved to the role of Director of Chemistry Research and later Senior Scientist. In 2020, Danielson joined HiberCell as Senior Director Process Development and Senior Director Analytical Chemistry.

Michael Danielson received their PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Minnesota in 2003. In 2018, they completed a Mini MBA in Business from the University of St. Thomas. Prior to that, they earned their BA in Chemistry and Biology from Macalester College in 1998.
