Andrew Phillips

Andrew Phillips is a legal professional with extensive experience in intellectual property and litigation. Currently serving as Deputy General Counsel at HID since January 2017, Phillips has progressed through various roles including Senior Associate General Counsel and Associate General Counsel. Prior to HID, Phillips worked as Corporate Counsel in the Intellectual Property Department at Caterpillar Inc. from July 2012 to January 2017. Earlier experience includes an associate position at Dickstein Shapiro LLP, focusing on intellectual property litigation and counseling. Phillips also served in the United States Navy from June 2001 to February 2005 as a Submarine Officer, with roles such as Assistant Weapons Officer and Chemistry and Radiological Controls Officer on the USS Connecticut. Academically, Phillips holds a JD from the University of Connecticut School of Law and a BS in Industrial Engineering from Northwestern University.
