Patrick Yam is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in firmware and embedded systems development. Currently serving as Principal Engineer at HID since February 2017, Patrick has previously held roles such as Sr. Staff Engineer, Sr. Firmware Engineer focused on Secure Issuance, and Product Security and Privacy Architect. Prior experience includes Sr. Platform Firmware Engineer at Starkey Hearing Technologies and several positions at HID Global and Fargo Electronics, Inc., where product development from concept through production was a key responsibility. As the owner of Como Woodworking from 2004 to 2013, Patrick designed furniture and cabinets influenced by historical styles.
