Adel Rashid

Adel Rashid has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Adel currently serves as the Business Development Manager - FX Institutional Sales at Ebury, a financial services company specializing in international cash management solutions. Adel joined Ebury in August 2022.

Earlier, in March 2022, Adel worked as an Adjunct Faculty at the Swiss School of Management, where they facilitated lectures for Executive MBA students and actively participated in curriculum preparation and assessment evaluation.

Before that, Adel held the position of CEO, Hidesign Middle East at Hidesign from June 2015. Adel played a pivotal role in showcasing the brand at international trade shows, establishing a strong clientele in the corporate gifting space, and positioning Hidesign as the preferred brand of choice.

Adel also worked at ENTRENCH International General Trading LLC from June 2015 to July 2022 as a Business Development Manager. Adel identified market gaps, signed exclusive contracts with international brands, and engineered an innovative sales strategy targeting the corporate gifting industry. Adel also secured speaking opportunities at industry events, maximizing brand impact and global recognition.

From 2013 to 2015, Adel worked as an Associate in Transaction Advisory Services at ARDENT Advisory & Accounting LLC. Adel consulted on M&A deals, business valuations, and strategic business plan reviews across various sectors.

Adel started their career at HSBC in 2010 as an Analyst in the Financial Institutions Group. Adel actively engaged with clients and assisted in closing finance deals, specifically facilitating Shariah compliant trade finance solutions with the Islamic Development Bank.

In 2008, Adel gained industry exposure and insight as a Summer Intern at Thomson Reuters, where they liaised with clients and the product development unit.

In 2007, Adel worked as a Summer Analyst at United Arab Bank, completing training in FX, money markets, and derivative products and recommending the setup of a multi-asset trading platform through project work.

Adel Rashid holds a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in International Financial & Commercial Law from King's College London, which was obtained from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Investment Banking and Islamic Finance from ICMA Centre in 2008-2009. Adel also has a Bachelor of Science (BSc Hons) degree in Business & Management Studies from the University of Bradford School of Management, earned from 2005 to 2008. Additionally, they have obtained certifications such as the Chartered Islamic Finance Professional from INCEIF, The Global University of Islamic Finance in 2009, and the International Fixed Income and Derivatives Certificate from ICMA - International Capital Market Association in the same year.
