Thomas Clement

Thomas Clement is an experienced engineering professional specializing in optical technology and fiber optic sensing. Currently serving as the Director of Fiber Optic Sensing at Hifi since February 2016, Thomas oversees operations related to optical technology, supplier management, and the development of new fiber optic innovations. Previous roles at Hifi included Manager of Fiber Optic Sensing and System Engineer, where Thomas focused on operational requirements and the integration of flagship optoelectronic interrogators. Prior experience includes leadership positions at ACAMP and Norcada, where Thomas managed engineering operations and worked on MEMS projects, respectively. Thomas holds a Master of Science in Integrated Optics and Microfabrication and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, both from the University of Alberta.
