Alex Akagi ️

Alex Akagi is an experienced software engineer currently working at Highbeam since May 2023. Previously, Alex served as a founding engineer at Quadrant Eye from May 2021 to January 2023 and was the founder of Excursion between March 2019 and May 2021. At GentleBirth, Alex held the position of Head of Tech from June 2016 to December 2017, successfully building gentlebirth.com and assisting with the launch of the company's React Native app. Additional experience includes a growth and software engineering internship at VaynerMedia, co-founding Vivaldi Education to create a classroom management tool, and an internship at Luther Consulting, where a data QA app was developed. Alex co-founded Awa, LLC, creating a successful iPhone game, and also worked as a ticket sales representative, demonstrating a diverse skill set in both software development and business. Educational background includes studies in computer science at Purdue University and an International Baccalaureate Diploma from North Central High School.
