Mike Ruff is the Volunteer & Scholar Coordinator at Higher Achievement. Mike has been with the company since May 2019 and is responsible for volunteer management, including recruiting, onboarding, training, and supporting volunteer teaching mentors for the Afterschool Academy. Mike also serves as the primary contact for all volunteer teaching mentors and study hall aides during the Afterschool Academy, and manages all scheduling for volunteers. In addition to their volunteer management responsibilities, Mike also manages all supplies at the Center, including an inventory at the start and end of each term and as-needed supply requests to ensure that the center is fully stocked with needed materials. Mike also supports recruitment efforts to retain a roster containing between 80 and 100 scholars.

Mike Ruff's educational career consists of a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Winston-Salem State University and a High School Diploma from H.D. Woodson SHS.
