Ruth Powell

Ruth Powell is an experienced professional currently serving as the Canal Project Officer at Stroud Valleys Project since March 2022, leading volunteer groups in conservation tasks and habitat improvements as part of the Cotswold Canals Connected project, as well as managing a vegetable garden with community members. In addition, Ruth has been a Software Contractor at HIGHER DIGITAL Inc. since February 2022, providing consultancy support for UK universities with Ellucian Banner student systems. Ruth's extensive background includes over 16 years at Ellucian, where roles ranged from Senior Manager of Software Development to Senior Project Manager and Business Analyst, managing teams globally and delivering significant projects. Earlier experience includes consulting for SunGard Higher Education and Dolphin Computers Ltd., as well as an administrative role in the student records department at Cheltenham and Gloucester College of Higher Education. Ruth holds a BA (Hons) in Combined Arts from the University of Leicester and an MBA in Business Administration from the University of Gloucestershire.
