Director Of IT at Higher Logic

Daryl Dore has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Daryl began their career in 2000 as a Business Analyst for Research In Motion, where they were responsible for the delivery of solutions for supply planning, inventory management, and order management. Daryl then progressed to managerial positions within the company, leading teams and managing systems for global repair services and marketing operations.

In 2014, Daryl joined Free The Children as the Global Head of Information Systems before transitioning to an independent role as a Business Systems and Technology Consultant. Daryl then joined the University of Waterloo as the Assistant Director of Enterprise Systems, where they played a key role in the implementation of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.

Daryl's next role was as the Director of ERP and Data Systems at the University of Waterloo, where they led teams responsible for the university's three major ERP systems. Daryl implemented infrastructure and application improvements to bring the systems up to a supported level. Daryl also worked closely with business partners to deliver solutions that improved processes for students, staff, and faculty members.

Since 2020, Daryl has pursued their passion for regenerative farming as a Regenerative Farmer at Legacy Acres Farm. Daryl uses permaculture practices to grow a wide variety of tree and berry crops, focusing on natural systems that minimize the use of sprays and external inputs.

Most recently in 2022, Daryl joined Higher Logic as the Director of IT. In this role, they lead the IT function, supporting the fully remote staff and ensuring compliance with SOC2 and ISO controls. Daryl has implemented a SaaS management tool to improve application visibility and management.

Throughout their career, Daryl has demonstrated leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering efficient and effective solutions in diverse organizational settings.

Daryl Dore received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University in the years 1997 to 2001. Later, they pursued further education and obtained a Master of Management Sciences degree from the University of Waterloo in the years 2018 to 2020. In addition, they have also obtained the certification of being a Registered Beekeeper from the Province of Ontario in the year 2023.
