John Lam

John Lam is a seasoned software developer and consultant in social computing, with extensive experience in adapting and managing open-source packages and integrating emerging standards into software projects. Currently serving as a Software Developer and Consultant since November 1988, John Lam also fulfills the role of Transit Ambassador at Highland Planning LLC since September 2017, where responsibilities include surveying transit customers for a major system redesign. Previous experience includes managing events and implementing a CRM platform at Celebrate Events, contributing significantly to sales at CA Technologies, co-founding and directing Big Picture Rochester, and providing consultancy services to RIT Research Corporation. John Lam holds a Bachelor of Science in Optics from the University of Rochester, earned between 1980 and 1986.
