Don Bertschman is an experienced communications professional with a strong background in executive communications and strategic storytelling. Currently serving as the Executive Communications Lead and Managing Editor at Highmark Health since February 2017, Don oversees a corporate digital magazine and collaborates on communications strategies that support the organization’s Living Health strategy. As the founder of Don B Creative since August 1993, Don has partnered with clients to develop authentic brand narratives and has contributed to numerous books, annual reports, and brand identity projects. Previously, Don held roles at Highmark Health and Highmark Inc. as a Senior Social Media Analyst, guiding corporate blogging initiatives, and at Kolbrener Inc. as a Senior Writer and Strategist, focusing on B2B and nonprofit communications. Don holds a Master of Arts in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing from The University of Georgia and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism/Creative Writing from The University of Pittsburgh.
