Mandi Surgeon

Mandi Surgeon, CFA, serves as the Manager of External Investment Portfolio Management at Highmark Health since November 2021, overseeing approximately $15 billion in investment portfolios managed by external managers and advisors. Prior to this role, Mandi was a Senior Portfolio Manager at GBU Financial Life, managing $3 billion in fixed income portfolios and enhancing operational efficiencies. Mandi's earlier experience includes a tenure as Portfolio Manager and Investment Accounting Analyst at Highmark Health, managing $2.5 billion in fixed income portfolios and ensuring the accuracy of investment accounting processes. Mandi began a career at BNY Mellon as a Senior Fund Accountant, focusing on financial reporting and security valuation. Mandi holds an MBA in Quantitative Finance and Organizational Behavior from Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business and a BS in Finance from Penn State University.
