Tyler Ahlstrom

Tyler Ahlstrom is a Senior Data Scientist at Highmark Health, with prior experience as a Data Scientist at the same company since March 2020. Prior to joining Highmark Health, Tyler worked as a Graduate Researcher at the University of Pittsburgh from 2013 to March 2020, where contributions included developing a virtual reality chemistry curriculum and serving as the elected Graduate Student Representative from 2017 to 2018. Tyler has also served as an Independent Instructor, designing and teaching courses such as Space, Time, and Matter and Principles of Scientific Reasoning. Additionally, Tyler completed a fellowship in Machine Learning at The Data Incubator in 2019 and taught English as a Second Language at Harbin Cambridge University in China from 2012 to 2013. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in History and Philosophy of Science and a Master of Science in Chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh, along with a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from the University of Minnesota.
