Alan Tingley

Alan Tingley has extensive work experience in the technology industry, spanning over several years. Alan began their career at Summa Four in 1991, where they worked as a Software Engineer and Architect. During their time at Summa Four, they led the Architecture Group and played a key role in defining the software development process. Alan also introduced a formal software development methodology, resulting in improved product quality and reduced testing cycles.

In 1997, Tingley joined Unifi as a Software Engineer, where they led a team of 10 engineers and was responsible for multiple projects. Alan also played a hands-on role in technical architecture and implementation, as well as mentoring and managing staff members. At Unifi, they defined and managed the development of a reusable framework of distributed services.

In 1999, Tingley joined Iperia as a Director, where they played a vital role in replacing a proprietary voice application platform with a web application architecture. Alan built and led a team of 18 engineers to develop voicemail and programmable auto-attendant applications. Alan also designed and implemented a voicemail application.

Tingley then moved to Sonus Networks in 2004, where they held multiple roles including Software Engineer, Software Development Manager, and Systems Architect. As a Software Engineer, they designed and built a service creation environment and software development kit for generating web applications. Alan also defined and implemented a Java API for integrating custom business logic. In their role as Systems Architect, they defined and directed the development of a next-generation software platform and facilitated channel sales by producing simplified management data models.

In 2010, Tingley joined SDL International as a Lead Architect for Language Technologies. In this role, they played a key role in architectural design and implementation. Alan remained with SDL International until 2014.

Most recently, Tingley worked at HighRoads as a Senior Developer/Architect. However, specific details about their roles and responsibilities are not provided.
