Rory Curtis

Rory Curtis has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering and commerce. Rory has held various roles in different companies throughout their career.

Starting in 2008, Curtis worked at Shop Direct Group, where they served as an Oracle Commerce (ATG) Architect and Team Lead, responsible for architecting the Checkout process and leading a team of developers. Rory then moved on to work as an E-Commerce Consultant at Spindrift Group, where they led large ATG Commerce and ATG CSC implementations.

In 2010, Curtis joined Tesco as an Oracle Commerce (ATG) Lead Architect, leading a team of architects in one of the largest ATG 9 implementations. Rory played a crucial role in defining the overall architecture and reviewing the design by other architects.

Curtis continued their career as an Oracle Commerce (ATG) Architect at Shop Direct Group from 2010 to 2011 and then again in 2012 to 2013. During these periods, they focused on architecting ATG solutions for multi-site implementations.

In 2014, Curtis worked as a Product Architect at Spindrift, involved in architecture, design, and implementation for the Canon Europe B2C multi-site project. Rory later took on the role of Owner & Principal Consultant at Roanis Ltd in 2008, helping customers implement large ATG/Oracle Web Commerce projects.

From 2018 to 2019, Curtis served as a Co-Founder at Gradient Edge, where they developed products, provided consulting services, and led small, highly skilled teams to deliver software projects.

Their most recent role was at HighRoads, starting in 2020, where they took on the position of Senior Vice President of Engineering. Curtis was responsible for leading and managing all engineering activities, setting the technical vision and strategy, and ensuring the development and delivery of a high-quality, cloud-native, SaaS solution. Rory worked closely with senior executives to align the engineering team's efforts with the company's overall business goals.

Throughout their career, Curtis has demonstrated a strong technical expertise and leadership skills, contributing to the success of various projects and initiatives in the engineering and commerce domains.

Rory Curtis attended Ulster University from 1994 to 1998, where they earned a Bsc Hons degree in Computing and Information Systems. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera in April 2018. Rory also has an AWS Certified Developer - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services, although the month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
