Stephen M.

Stephen M. has over 28 years of experience in software engineering. Stephen is currently working at HighRoads as a Lead Full Stack Engineer since February 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Bazaarvoice as a Staff Software Engineer from March 2020 to February 2022. In this role, they were responsible for enabling syndication of client content to Microsoft for their Bing search and other services. Stephen also worked on consolidating client dashboards and reports, managing customer support releases, and implementing AWS cloud technology.

Before joining Bazaarvoice, Stephen worked at GolfNow, a division of Golf Channel, as a Senior Software Engineer from December 2014 to March 2020. Here, they developed RESTful Microservice APIs, integrated payment providers, and worked on a notifications microservice. Stephen also developed a members iOS app to increase engagement with golf club members.

Prior to GolfNow, Stephen worked at Liberty Information Technology as a Principal Software Engineer from January 2012 to December 2014. Stephen also worked at Lloyds Banking Group as a Senior Software Engineer from June 2001 to December 2011, where they developed ECommerce and EBusiness banking systems and designed and implemented data models.

Stephen started their career as a Contract Software Engineer at SMP Software from February 1999 to May 2001. Stephen then worked at Aldiscon as a Senior Software Engineer from March 1997 to February 1999, and at Parity as a Software Engineer from October 1994 to March 1997.

Throughout their career, Stephen has gained expertise in various technologies and tools such as Java, AWS, Docker, MySQL, Jenkins, Git, Kanban, Jira, Confluence, .NET Core, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Xamarin, and SQL Server.

From 1991 to 1994, Stephen M. attended Queen's University Belfast. During this time, they pursued a BSc (Joint Hons) degree in Pure Mathematics and Computer Science.
