Deisy Gonzalez

Deisy Gonzalez has worked in the software engineering industry since 2009. Deisy began their career at South 6, where they served as a Senior Software Engineer. During their time there, they developed applications to process and deploy data, designed and managed a front-end application, and worked with tools and libraries such as Riak, Redis, Flask, Celery, RabbitMQ, Apache Solr, ElasticSearch, and FAST ESP. Deisy also innovated and implemented a content build cycle, wrote a PHP front-end service for conducting searches, set up a secondary index of document data in Riak, made improvements to a MySQL schema, wrote an application in Java that makes it possible to feed documents to FAST ESP in batches, and wrote a web interface where query templates can be created, edited, and tested with sample data. In 2018, they moved to HighSide, Inc. where they currently serve as a Web Programmer. In 2012, they worked at Surfside as a Software Engineer.

Deisy Gonzalez received a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Connecticut in 2004, and a Master's degree in Computer Science from the same institution in 2007.
