Emily Anstead (nee Horn) currently serves as a Board Trustee at HighTide and is a member of the HighTide Advisory Council. Since December 2017, Emily has held the position of Head of Trusts and Foundations at The British Library. Previous voluntary roles include serving as a Board Trustee for the Fawcett Society from November 2018 to November 2022 and for Company Three from July 2015 to July 2018. Emily's extensive experience in trust management includes various roles at the National Theatre from March 2011 to November 2017, where responsibilities ranged from Trust Development Manager to Head of Trusts. Earlier in Emily's career, the role of Fundraising & Scholarships Coordinator at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) was undertaken from December 2008 to April 2011, along with experience as a Creative Education Facilitator for the Liverpool Culture Company during its European Capital of Culture 2008 initiative. Emily holds a degree in English Literature from the University of East Anglia and completed further studies in fundraising at The Open University.

Our community work brings together world-class storytellers with communities in the East of England to help them share their own stories and expand their creative lives.
