Mark Maynard is an experienced civil engineer with a focus on structural engineering and project management. Currently serving as the Structures Team Leader and Technical Approval Authority at National Highways since June 2010, Mark oversees all structural schemes within the South West Highways England Network, ensuring technical governance and collaboration with various stakeholders. Prior to this role, Mark held several positions at Atkins from July 1996 to June 2010, including Structures Manager and Principal Engineer. Mark began the engineering career at Devon County Council and has also worked with Rust Consulting Limited and Nicholls Colton Group Ltd. Mark holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering from Loughborough University, earned between 1987 and 1991.
