HIL Limited is engaged in the production and distribution of building products, thermal insulation products (refractories) and generation of wind power. The Company operates through three segments: Building Products, Thermal Insulation Products (Refractories) and Wind Power. Its Building Products segment manufactures and markets fiber cement sheets, aerocon panels, autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) blocks, and advanced polymer products and colored steel sheets, which are used in construction activity. The Company's Thermal Insulation Products (Refractories) segment manufactures and markets insulation products used in cement, fertilizers and power sector in the kilns, furnaces and boilers. Through the Wind Power segment, the Company has installed wind turbine generators as a part of Green initiative. The Company has manufacturing facilities in Hyderabad, Faridabad, Jasidih, Dharuhera, Thimmapur, Jhajjar, Kondapalli, Chennai, Thrissur, Wada, Sathariya, Balasore and Golan.
