Hillman Design is a product development studio working at the point where a material becomes a product.
We partner with material manufacturers and product companies to turn a material's real behaviour — its structure, its limits, its potential — into buildable, production-ready products. Not design language alone, but the full path: industrial design, design-for-manufacture, product files, technical drawings, and supplier logic.
Our work spans natural and technical materials — from cross-linked PE foam to novel bio-based materials — with a particular passion for finding the product hidden inside a natural material.
For a material producer, we're the layer that turns capability into a product direction: a demonstrator that shows the material in use, an application package your customers can build from, or a branded product line where it makes sense.
Led by Yehuda Hillman (industrial design) and Delight Umpleby (concept & product development), between Germany and Israel.
