Mara Daiker

Mara Daiker is an accomplished professional in health informatics and information technology with extensive experience in both academia and industry. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Professional Development at HIMSS since September 2016, Mara leads initiatives focused on health innovation and digital health transformation. Additionally, Mara holds positions as a Professional Development Program Director and Adjunct Instructor at Kent State University, teaching courses related to Health Records Management. Previous teaching experience includes an adjunct position at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, where the focus was on Healthcare Systems: Implementation and Integration. Prior roles at Ascension Information Services involved managerial responsibilities within one of the nation's largest healthcare IT organizations, and earlier experience includes roles at Pyramid Healthcare Solutions, overseeing operations in Health Information Management. Mara holds a Master’s degree in Health Care Informatics from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management from The College of St. Scholastica.
