AJAY KUMAR has over three decades of extensive experience in procurement and materials management within the manufacturing and power sectors. Currently serving as Senior Vice President of Strategic Procurement at Hindalco Industries Limited since June 2010, AJAY leads the raw materials procurement for Aluminium and Copper businesses, overseeing significant commodities such as CP Coke and Imported Coal. Previous roles at Hindalco include Vice President of Strategic Procurement and Vice President of Purchase, where AJAY managed multimillion-dollar budgets and procurement strategies across various clusters. Prior experience includes key positions at Adhunik Power & Natural Resources Limited, Hindustan Zinc Limited, Usha Martin Limited, Lloyds Steels Industries Limited, and J K Synthetics Limited. Academic qualifications include an MBA in strategic management from Manipal GlobalNxt University and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology.
