Katherine E. Hlavin is a seasoned fine art specialist with extensive experience in the auction and gallery sectors. Currently serving as Senior Specialist for Fine Art at Hindman Auctions since May 2022, Hlavin previously held the position of Gallery Director at Fighting Bear Antiques from May 2021 to March 2022. Hlavin's prior roles at Hindman Auctions include Director and Specialist of Western Art, as well as Business Development for the Western Region, spanning from June 2017 to May 2021. Previous experience includes serving as Gallery Director at Visions West Contemporary and Director of American & Western Paintings and Fine Art Consultant at Altamira Fine Art. Hlavin's early career includes internships in capital markets at Cushman & Wakefield in both the United States and Vietnam. Hlavin holds a degree in Development Studies, Asian Studies, and Political Science from Hobart and William Smith Colleges, and also attended Vietnam National University of Hanoi.
