Brian McCafferty is a seasoned engineering professional with significant experience in the construction and tunneling sectors. Currently serving as a Sub Agent and Section Engineer at Kier Group since July 2017, Brian oversees sprayed concrete lining and ground stabilization works for the new nuclear build at Hinkley Point in the United Kingdom. Additionally, Brian holds the position of Section Engineer at HS2 (High Speed Two) Ltd and serves as Area Section Engineer at Hinkley Point. Previous experience includes working in Tunnel Operations for TG Tunnelling, part of the Dragados and Sisk Joint Venture on the Crossrail project, from February 2013 to July 2014. Brian holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sustainable Construction Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Science in Construction Technology and Fire Safety Engineering from Letterkenny Institute of Technology.
