Mark Sward

Mark Sward is a seasoned privacy executive currently serving as Senior Director, Compliance & Privacy at HireRight. Previously, they held the position of Vice President and Global Head of Privacy at First Advantage, where they transitioned the legacy Sterling privacy office into a unified compliance department. With extensive experience, Mark has also worked at Sterling Talent Solutions, managing privacy initiatives and compliance programs while supporting the establishment of a global privacy framework. Mark contributes to the industry as a volunteer chair of the Canada Government Relations Committee for the Professional Background Screening Association, influencing public policy on privacy matters. They hold a BA in Political Science and Applied Linguistics from McGill University and a Certificate in Law from Université de Montréal.
