Dan Bishop

Dan Bishop is a seasoned professional in the insurance industry with extensive experience in pricing and solvency. Since January 2013, Dan Bishop has served as the Head of Pricing UK at Hiscox, focusing on UK General Insurance retail pricing. Prior to this role, Dan Bishop held the position of Director of Solvency II at Direct Line Group from December 2009 to December 2012, leading the Solvency II programme. Dan Bishop has also contributed to Direct Line Group as the Head of Insurance Analysis and Head of Retail Analysis, overseeing technical aspects and people management from 2005 to 2009. Earlier roles include Actuarial Manager at Churchill Insurance, specializing in commercial pricing, and a Statistical Analyst at NIG plc. Dan Bishop began their career as a Student Engineering Apprentice at Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery Ltd. Dan Bishop holds a Master of Science in Computing and Computer Modelling and a Bachelor of Science in Geophysics and Planetary Physics, both from Newcastle University.
