James Daykin has extensive experience in marine and energy liability underwriting, currently serving as a Line Underwriter at Hiscox since August 2021, after progressing through various roles within the company. Prior experience includes working at AXA XL from October 2015 to August 2021 as an Underwriter, focusing on primary and excess liability risks across multiple sectors. In addition to a strong professional background, James has demonstrated a commitment to grassroots football, serving as a Football Futures Member and volunteering as a coach, while also founding the first Youth Council for Essex County FA. James holds a Diploma in Insurance from the Chartered Insurance Institute and completed A Levels at Stanford and Corringham Sixth Form Centre.
