James Short is an experienced underwriter specializing in power, renewables, war, terrorism, and political violence. Currently serving as a Senior Underwriter at Hiscox since June 2020, James has previously held significant roles in both underwriting and operational support within the War, Terrorism and Political Violence sector at Hiscox and MS Amlin, dating back to December 2009. James holds a Master of Arts in Modern History from The University of Manchester and a Bachelor of Arts in Modern History from The University of East Anglia, along with a Diploma in Insurance (Dip CII).
