Steve Harmon has a diverse work experience in the legal field. Steve started their career as an Associate Attorney at Cooley LLP from September 1997 to February 2000. Steve then worked at Morgan Miller Blair, where they served as an Associate Attorney from February 2000 to December 2003. Later, they became an Attorney and Principal, Member of the Business and Technology Group at the same firm from January 2004 to October 2011. During this time, they provided legal counsel to various clients in transactions such as mergers and acquisitions and financings. Harmon also served as "outside general counsel" to clients, advising them on day-to-day legal matters. Since October 2011, they have been associated with Hitachi High-Tech America, Inc. Harmon held several roles at the company, starting as a Senior Corporate Counsel from October 2011 to March 2013, then transitioning to Assistant General Counsel until April 2015. Steve further progressed to become an Associate General Counsel until April 2020. Finally, Harmon was promoted to Vice President & Associate General Counsel, followed by their current position as Vice President and General Counsel, which they assumed in April 2020.
Steve Harmon attended Stanford University from 1990 to 1994, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Political Science. Steve later attended the University of California, Berkeley - School of Law from 1994 to 1997, earning a JD degree in Law.
