Adriano Arantes is a seasoned professional in research and development with extensive experience in innovative technologies such as IoT, Big Data analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. Currently serving as a Principal Research Scientist at Hitachi America since February 2017, Adriano leads projects focusing on industrial applications of cutting-edge technologies. Prior roles include Software Engineer at IBM, where Adriano worked on data integration services and led a team for UI Test Automation, and Research Associate at the University of Alberta, utilizing machine learning in genomics data analysis. Adriano also has experience as a Postdoctoral Fellow, managing a livestock genomics database, and has contributed to various projects and research initiatives throughout a diverse career, including technical roles in database consultation and project management in data quality systems. Adriano holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of São Paulo and a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Bioinformatics from the University of Alberta.
